When I started to look for work again after my career break I was scared – devoid of confidence. Scared of being perceived as too old, having a rusty network, not having the right technical skills, worried about the dependents I’d been caring for… on and on the list went. I even worried about whether I had the energy for it. I needed to experience a mind-shift to focus on the process of job-hunting and be effective at it. Once I built my confidence back up it was fun.
